Medicare Psychology Rebates

Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients. To claim a rebate, you’ll need to see your GP for a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral letter.

• Standard session fee: $150
• Medicare rebate: Approximately $99
• Out-of-pocket cost: Around $51
• Bulk billing: A limited number of bulk-billed sessions may be available upon request

Rebates for face-to-face and online sessions can be submitted directly to Medicare on your behalf, making the process quick and convenient.

WorkCover

Psychological sessions may be covered by WorkCover if:

• Your claim has been approved
• You are referred by your doctor
• Your case manager has authorised psychological treatment

Please ensure your documentation is in place before booking.

Private (self-funded) Clients

You do not need a referral to book privately.
Session fees start at $150 per 60-minute session.
If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate depending on your fund and level of cover.

EAP Counselling Services

Wayne is a registered provider for several Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). If your employer offers EAP support, please contact Wayne to confirm whether services can be arranged under your program.

Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)

DVA clients can access psychological services with a referral from their GP. Please bring your DVA card and referral details to your first session.
